Introduction

This document contains information relating to the installation and usage of the
Content Template Catalog (CTC), version 4.4

Prerequisites
————–

– WebSphere Portal 8.5 CF7 or higher must be installed.
– The default Derby Database used by WebSphere Portal is not supported for use with CTC. Instead you should perform a database transfer and use another supported database.

Installation
————-

These are the instructions for a simple installation. This assumes that you are installing on a non-migrated system, to the base portal, that the server is a standalone system with no web server,
and that you are installing the default Content Template Catalog components. For the full installation instructions for all other cases, refer to the product documentation.

– Extract CTCInstall.zip to a directory on the server where you want to install the Content Template Catalog.
– Customize the ctc.properties or ctc-zos.properties file to set the PROFILE_DIR parameter and specify which components to install. In particular, you may like to set the CTC_USERS and CTC_MLS parameters as true.
– Set the administrator passwords in the wkplc.properties (/opt/IBM/WebSphere/wp_profile/ConfigEngine/properties/wkplc.properties) file, or the passwords can be added to the installation command line with the syntax: «-PortalAdminPwd password -WasPassword password».
– On Unix, make the installation program ctc-install.sh executable by running the command: «chmod 777 ctc-install.sh«.
– Start the installation program from the command line by executing the command: «ctc-install.bat» (Windows), «ctc-install.sh» (Unix), or «ctc-install-zos.sh» (z/OS).
– Restart the server.
